Amiens Legacy Centre visits

Below is a suggested itinerary for your group. 

Itinerary for walks with a guide (Sundays only)

10.00     Introduction to tour

10.10     Enter the Passchendaele shed for a 20 min talk on the Amiens        Legacy Centre and the history of the Pikedale Soldiers’ Settlement.

10.30     Leave the Passchendaele Shed for a half hour walk around the Amiens Legacy Centre which includes a visit inside the railway carriage. 

11.00     Leave the Amiens Legacy Centre for an hour walk around to the Amiens Memorial Park, back through the Amiens Memorial Lane and back to the centre. 

12.00     Return to Amiens Legacy Centre for closing remarks and questions. 

Itinerary for self-guided walk

10.00     Arrive at Amiens Legacy Centre

10.30     Commence walk around the Amiens Legacy Centre reading signage. 

11.00     Leave the Amiens Legacy Centre for an hour walk around to the Amiens Memorial Park, back through the Amiens Memorial Lane and back to the centre. 

12.00     Return to Amiens Legacy Centre. 

For those interested in further self-guided tours of the Amiens Township (walking tour) and the Armistice Way (driving tour) these can be undertaken using the tour guide books that can be purchased from the Amiens Legacy Centre when open, or from the Stanthorpe Visitor Information centre in Leslie Parade, Stanthorpe.
