ANZAC day
Anzac Day was initially commemorated to mark the anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli. However these days ANZAC day goes beyond the anniversary of the landing. It is the day on which we remember all Australians who served and died in war and on operational service past and present.
ANZAC Day will occur on Thursday 25 April, 2024.
AMIENS LEGACY CENTRE
After the commemoration ceremonies in town, if you feel like doing something else that's a little bit different, come along to the Amiens Legacy Centre for a relaxed afternoon of yarns, verse and tunes by the campfire.
Light refreshments will be available for purchase. More details will be on the poster when available.
STANTHORPE AND SURROUNDS
ANZAC day commemoration ceremonies can be found on the Southern Downs Regional Council website.

The dawn service for Stanthorpe is usually held in Weroona Park, Marsh St followed by the gunfire breakfast held at the Stanthorpe RSL, Marsh St, Stanthorpe.

ANZAC PARADE
The ANZAC parade in Stanthorpe is usually held in the main street of town, Maryland St, Stanthorpe and commences at 10.30am. Families, friends, the general public and local school children march to commemorate Stanthorpe's fallen.

BALLANDEAN PYRAMID
The Ballandean Pyramid is a man-made stone pyramid near Ballandean, Queensland, Australia. The pyramid is approximately 15 metres in height and built from local granite rocks. Usually it is not open to the public as it is on private property belonging to a local vineyard (Henty Estate)
