The Harslett Farm story which spans 100 years, started from meagre beginnings when Jack and Edith Harslett took up a soldier settler block at Amiens, in 1919. It is a story of perseverance in the face of adversity, but above all, it tells of the determination of a family, modelled on the work ethic of their forebears to succeed. It is not just about farming, but also a story of the small close knit community that made Harslett Farm their home and who played a significant role in its success.

It reflects on the contribution made by Harslett Farm not only to the local region but also to the horticultural industry at large. Laced with a very liberal sprinkling of photographs, humorous anecdotes and adventures drawn from the recollections of four generations, it richly describes the everyday lives of those involved at work and play over the years on Harslett Farm.
